Our life is a story. Everything that surrounds us is built upon stories. As children, we learn through stories. However, the most important stories in our lives today are the stories we tell ourselves.
From the moment we get up in the morning, we tell ourselves stories about our family, our situation, our appearance, our work, etc. We have a story about our successes, failures, upbringing and loved ones.
Reality has little to do with the stories we tell ourselves. The stories are our interpretation of the reality, and the stories become our reality. This is why the stories we tell ourselves can make or break our future since they are the foundation of our lives and character.
Let us endeavor now and always to tell ourselves stories that build, rather than destroy.
